M.C the MAX (Moon Child the MAX) is a Korean rock band. They debuted in 2000 as a 4-member band under the name “Moon Child”. Their 1st album consisted of mainly techno songs, with a few rock songs. Their 2nd album had a more similar sound to what they do today, consisting mainly of ballads mixed with a rock sound.

MC Mong (MC 몽) (born on September 4, 1979) is a South Korean hip hop artist. He was formerly a member of People Crew, which debuted in 1998. But because he was overshadowed by other “pretty members” in his group, it was not until 2003, MC Mong began to gain popularity when he acted in MBC’s Non-Stop 4.

His albums are known mostly for their comedic styles (aided by humorous music videos), although his most recent album has taken on a slightly more serious tone. His nickname is “monkey”, due to his resemblance to the animal; most Korean variety shows reference this. On a fall of 2006 episode of SBS’s Ya Shim Man Man, he and his good friend Haha talked about their struggles when they were first trying to break into the industry. His parents had fought with him, telling him that he should not try to become a celebrity

Maya (마야) (born Kim Young Sook (김영숙) on 17 November 1979) is a Korean singer. Her family includes one brother and 3 sisters. Her hobbies are skiing and scuba diving. She was educated at the Seoul Institute of the Arts. Maya’s performance debut was during the m.net programme Show King M on 11 March 2003.

Lee Se-jin (이세진, born on November 9, 1981) is a K-pop singer known professionally as Lyn. She made her debut in 2002 with her first album “Have You Ever Had Heart Broken? [sic]“. Although popular, her follow-up album Can U See The Bright two years later had her biggest single to date, “사랑했잖아” (Used To Love). The song was eventually covered on Lee Seung Ki’s album of covers, released in late 2006. Her last album, The Pride of the Morning, was released on March 7, 2007, and sold 15,358 copies in that month, placing second in the Music Industry Association of Korea’s monthly chart

Loveholic (러브홀릭) is South Korean modern rock group. Their song “Shingiru (신기루)” was used as the ending theme to the Japanese anime Black Blood Brothers. They have participated in many soundtracks for MBC and KBS.

Lim Jeong Hee (born May 17, 1981) is a South Korean R&B and Pop artist that debuted in 2005 under JYP Entertainment. She continues to be popular, despite being a “rookie”. One of her notable performances in 2005 was the 5th Pattaya Music Festival in Thailand which helped promote and expose her to the foreign music industry. She will also be debuting in America, and will not be on any entertainment shows or anything of that matter to focus on a successful debut in America. She gave her last street performance at August 27, 2006.

Lexy is a Korean female solo artist who debuted in 2003 under the management, YG Entertainment. She has been featured in songs with many of the other YG artists, such as Se7en, 1TYM, JinuSean and wheesung. Marketed by YG as a hip-hop aritst with a little mix of R&B vibe as well, her debut album, Lexury, which was released on October 6, 2003, was fairly well receive, with her growing popular. She became a rival with popular singer Lee Hyori for a while.

Though her debut album was well receive, her second album, Lextacy, released on August 26, 2005 flopped when it was release. Her third album, Rush, released on April 2007. Though her song, “Above The Sky” was on the chart for a few weeks, sales were not as strong as her debut album. On September 12, 2007 Yang Goon announced that Lexy left YG Entertainment.

A re-signing with the agency didn’t happen. Yang revealed that because of that, he felt like giving away his younger sister for marriage. Lexy’s contract actually ended October of 2006. Because of the disappointing results of her 2nd album, it was mutually decided that there won’t be any re-signing of a contract, but they still wanted to carry out the 3rd album. There has been no problems on money or ill-feelings toward both parties. It was just decided to go on separate ways.

Lee Soo Young (born Lee Ji Yeon, April 12, 1979 in Seoul) is a Korean ballad singer. She made her debut in 1999 in Korea with the smash hit “I Believe.” Currently, she has seven released albums and four mini-albums (labeled as Holiday in Lombok, Classic, As Time Goes By, An Autumn Day) and sang six OSTs.

She’s recognized in Korea for her powerful voice and although she rarely appears in her own music videos, she has earned a lot of popularity. She has also recently appeared on a number of variety shows, displaying her sense of humour and her ability to be comical and carefree, adding to her popularity. Today she is considered one of Korea’s most famous and accomplished ballad singers.

She released her seventh album, Grace, on January 21, 2006. It performed very well, able to shoot straight to the top of the charts. The popularity of the album led to a limited edition(repackage) release of Grace, of which only 30,000 copies were produced.

Lee Seung Gi (이승기), born on 13 January 1987 is a Korean singer. He debuted at 17 in 2004 when he was still a high school student. His first hit that made him famous was “Because You’re My Girl”, which created a ‘liking older women’ syndrome in South Korea. In the 2004 MBC Music Awards, he won the Best New Artist award. He regularly appeared on the TV variety show X-Man, and has starred in a few TV sitcoms as well as CFs. His album ‘Remake Album – When a Man Loves a Woman’ is a compilation of popular love songs previously sung by female artists.
